Yelta contributes to Aerocene research in terms of visualization of aerocene trajectories in relation to controlled airspace. As community member, he lanched several aerosolar sculptures around Europe.

Gwilym takes care of the mantainance of the backpacks and Sense-air bottle devices. He collects data in order to create Aeroglyphs. As trained tethered flight pilot, he teaches how to launch aerosolar sculptures.

ARG –

Joaquin contributes on flight operations, trajectory visualization and web development. In Argentina he is working alongside Villa Inflamable community and generating Aeroglyphs for every flight.

His work articulates at the intersection of political philosophy, financial theory, contemporary art and media studies. He is currently working on the creation of an MA program in cryptoeconomics at the Global Center for Advanced Studies (GCAS) and enjoys, from time to time, the discreet charm of the precariat.

Involved with Parisian projects such as Fab City, Acoustic Space Lab, Makrolab, Association of Autonomous Astronauts, Acoustic Space Lab, World-Information.Org, Laboratory Planet, an internet and print project which is part mapping, part journal and covers the disciplines of science, technology and art. Long time collaborator of Aerocene.

Sven Steudte

RADIOAMATEUR, DEVELOPER PECAN PICO

Radioamateur and long-term collaborator for Aerocene. Developed the Pecan Pico, all versions. Has been part of the following Aerocene hackathons: Aerocene Hackathon Exhibition Road – London 2016, Aerocene Hackathon Imperial College – London 2017, Aerocene at CCK – Buenos Aires 2017, and almost all Aerocene Free Flights.

Dereck McCormack

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF HUMAN GEOGRAPHY AT OXFORD UNIVERSITY

He has longstanding research interests in nonrepresentational theory, affect and materiality.  His most recent work focuses on atmosphere, air and the elemental. He is the author of Refrains for Moving Bodies: Experience and Experiment in Affective Spaces (Duke University Press, 2013) and Atmospheric Things, also with Duke University Press. Aerocene is referenced in the latter.

he experiments in balloon and buoy related radio amateur endeavours. Together with Sven Steudte, Thomas has a key role in developing tech for Aerocene, especially in relation to free flights.

ANTHROPOLIGIST AND MEMBER OF AEROCENE ARGENTINA

 She has specialized in the right to the city and environmental justice, technological risks and co-production of public policies in Europe, North Africa, East Asia and Latin America. Interested in the potential of scientific complementarity with other forms of knowledge to address problems of the Anthropocene, Debora Part of Aerocene Symposium at Palais de Tokyo, 2018 and talk in Munich Festival, 2019. Debora was part of the Aerocene Symposium at Palais de Tokyo, 2018 and hosted two talks in Munich Festival, 2019, focusing on Villa Inflamable.

His research combines approaches from the social and natural sciences, arts and humanities in order to situate the changing relationship between humans, environment and technology in the longer perspective of human and planetary history.  He is author of Nature, Technology and the Sacred (2005), and co-editor of Nature Performed (2003),Technofutures (2015) and a special double issue of Theory Culture and Society on ‘Changing Climates’ (2010).

Pro-active researcher and community manager for Public Lab, an open technology and science community and long-term partner of the Aerocene Foundation. The partnership between Public Lab and Aerocene seeks to encourage the public dissemination of scientific knowledge about the atmosphere, and the use of high-altitude, zero-emission sensing and monitoring technologies.
